winter is back. yesterday we had a nasty ice storm, and lost our electricity at around 3pm. we have a buck (wood burning) stove and tons of camping gear so we were pretty much okay, just really bored. ours came back around noon today, but some parts of iowa they expect it'll be a few days before it's back. (like at mt. vernon, for example...yesterday stephanie called and said that they already cancelled classes for tomorrow.) and then this morning it snowed again!
edit: stephanie called this evening, they had power for two whole hours. it made me happy to talk to her!
