another do-nothing day.

i tried to wear my purple tights today.  they might work as thigh highs if it were possible to make them so, but they were definitely made for someone who is at least six inches shorter than i am.  how sad, because i really like them.

and, despite my own edict of not purchasing things, i decided to go for the sweatshirt because even though i don't have room for even more clothes by god i will make room!  i am still (verrrrry slowly) purging myself of things, and it would be going better except most of those things are books that i have yet to read.  (also, shoes.)  so i'm getting on that, sort of.  i mean, i am still reading the like ten books i have been reading for the last three months, and i checked out three more from the library yesterday.  and of course i decided to do my annual re-read of his dark materials after all, so there is quite a list there.

i really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing this weekend and am unhappy about having to go to work all day tomorrow.  my only consolation is csi:miami, and that is no consolation at all because one of the team will be killed.  i think i will require a mild tranquilizer after that show is over.

  1. move to boston, please! help me build models -- it's for my own safety! Did you see the **massive** crater in my finger! muah!
-- ps, I got the most a-maizing postcard in the mail the other day! I think it was Thursday -- the day we all know as the Day The Switch Went at Work so ALL Editorial Went Home -- and I took a nap before going to class! Wheeee! Point being, (does that constitute itself as a tangential radius (not radii, sadly)) the timing was everything. I laughed, I cried, I cried some more, I did the sniffle-laugh and then I napped!

  2. in further regards to the aforementioned crater-in-my-finger, I think I'm losing feeling in my finger around the crater -- or else I've magically become numb to the pain, -- or else the nerves in that region of my finger have finally been destroyed beyond hope of repair. -- seriously -- model building, it will drive you mildly insane
