status updated to "merely tired"

one more week down, an unnamed amount to go.  i decided last weekend to send my letter back to ags saying that i would return this summer.  i wouldn't go so far as to say it was an agonizing decision, but it was a little harder to checkmark that "yes" than i thought it would be.  but i'm excited, and i already got myself an alaskan hiking book in anticipation of what i will do after the cannery.  after that though, is still up in the air and probably will be until after i get back.

tuesday, i got to see my friend amber, husband joe, and son larry (who is almost eleven months now).  it was my first time meeting larry, and he is ADORABLE.  he has such big eyes, and he's a very friendly baby.  he's so cute!  i was glad to get to see them, even if it was a very low-key event.

i've also, in the last couple of weeks, gotten to hang out with andy who passed through ottumwa, and talk to kate and jessie on the phone.  yay for friends! 

my parents went to chicago on thursday and came back today.  they brought me this postcard book back.  the images are really cool, and i won't want to send any of them!

also, one last very hilarious story (at least to me).  on thursday night, emily and i were closing and were both in very grumpy moods.  until emily, by a complete and total accident, called 911 instead of theresa.  she was so embarassed, but we laughed so hard!  even more so after a cop showed up at our front door to make sure we were really okay.  It's not a tactic i would necessarily recommend, but it did a pretty good job of dispelling our bad moods!

so all in all, this spring thing is working out for me in the end.

i keep trying to write, but...then i draw a blank.  maybe this weekend.

this photo would have probably turned out better, but i waited until the sun was mostly set to take it.  it's a crocus!  spring is finally here!  however, this fact is not helping me to be a less grouchy, whiney, tired person.  a subject which would require it's own post.

i know, i've been really great at writing things lately.  and taking pictures, that's been a huge success too.

i feel like i've been working a thousand hours a week.  and then there is the whole thing about how my back REALLY HURTS A LOT, PEOPLE.  it hurt, then it felt better just stiff, and then i fell on my ass and it hurts again.  look here, watch me cry.  boo hoo.

BUT the weather is finally nice, i paid off my credit card (about time), and i get to go to mt. vernon/iowa city this weekend.  I LOVE THAT PLACE!  i hate the drive. 

lastly, i need advice, what do i wear with this?  or should i just return it?  i feel like i look funny in it, but also, i love the pattern.
