Such & Such

Photos from my weekend!  It was a nice one, even if it contained many, many hours of driving.  Friday I went to Davenport and saw Erika and the World's Cutest Four-Year-Old, and I hung out there with them until Sunday morning.  I then drove to Mt. Vernon for Sarah's senior show and to pick up my sister.  I hadn't been to Mt. Vernon for awhile, so it was interesting.  And different.  I saw the Pfeiffer remodel, and wouldn't you know, but the paint is already peeling off the walls.

And guys, I discovered that Randall's is no longer a bar, but a cafe.  It was a sad moment for me, but then I ate a spicy grilled chicken sandwich at the LIncoln, and I felt somewhat better.

I think I have a similar photo of him (with a stick) from last time that I saw him.

Sarah with Sandy, both of whom I was happy to see again.

Part of Sarah's show.  It is called "Articulations of the Page" and it involves homemade paper, grass seeds, and poetry by Robert Dana.  It's very, very cool!

Now I am back to work.  I'm just so, very thrilled...can't you tell?

The Changing of the Wardrobe

I can't believe it's finally spring!  I am in the middle of putting away all of my winter clothes and pulling out all of the short sleeve shirts and skirts, which is a huge excitement (and pain, thanks attic) for me.  If I think how much of the last year I spent in winter, well, at least New Zealand winters are mild, right?

It's Alaska Week!

My favorite state!  I'm pretty excited, because amongst other things, this means a new season of Deadliest Catch.  I've been vegging out to a marathon all weekend!  No matter how many times I've seen an episode, I can still watch it over and over.

You may have noticed I finally put up a new New Zealand album.  It's not in chronological order anymore, and this sort of bothers me. But unless I wait for another hundred years to find a functioning DVD drive on one of these computers...harrumph.  I picked hiking on Fox Glacier at random, but it turns out there are a lot of really interesting photos I took that day!  Who knew?!

This last week, as most weeks, I kept thinking I should write a post (actually, there were a lot of things I meant to do last week) but my life has become incredibly uneventful.  Which is nice for a time, kind of like not sharing a room with a bunch of stinky strangers is also nice, but I wouldn't mind a trip somewhere.  My brain has sort of melted being on kitchen overload.  At least I've got a few co-workers who keep me entertained.

Hope everyone had a good Easter holiday!  I've been filling up on candy and the afore-mentioned Deadliest Catch.  I'd say that's a pretty good weekend!

Cloth

A new skirt, a new dress, and new fabric.
It was a successful weekend of shopping.
