my internet still seems to be down, and it's getting irritating. i promise, soon i will try to make it work, and then i can read everyone's blogs again.
work has slowed down a lot, and i haven't been scheduled as much. on one hand, i'm worried since i kind of need that money to do things like pay my rent and eat, but it's giving me time to do other things (like work on that resulotion of mine) and finish my portfolio. i went to the darkroom at the imu, and let's just say i was SERIOUSLY spoiled with the darkroom at cornell. i hated being at the imu darkroom and i never want to use it again. ugh. so that is almost finished, so all i have left is to finish actually filling out my application, getting my picture taken (why do europeans want to know what you look like?) and get my transcripts from cornell. and of course, mail everything to england.
the thing about my schedule though, that's really pissing me off, is the person who schedules me is putting me on saturdays. after a little conversation in which i said i did not want to work on saturdays. i think i'm being punished. and, of course, i'm scheduled to work the day that david's birthday party is being planned for. so i'm going to have to work something out with that one because that is just getting to be extremely irritating.
and...i almost bought my plane ticket to new york today, but priceline could only give me a ticket $30 cheaper than the normal price. and that's not really worth it since then i can't even choose when i go, so i guess i might just try a little later and hope it just won't get even more expensive.
that's pretty much all that's going on right now. a few days ago i lost my tv remote, and i can't find it anywhere. it's sad, because now i can't play my spongebob game that my brother gave me, and i can't watch any dvds because i can no longer change it to channel 3. so i'm stuck watching lousy fox shows and a lot of pbs until i can locate it. seriously, i live in one room. it should not be that hard to find it. oh! and mardi gras is february 28. i should re-post my king's cake recipe, and everyone should celebrate by making some. i'm thinking about having a mardi gras party of some sort, myself. laissez les bon temps roulez!
Sarah, I'm quite sure you could take your own photo if you wanted, but I know from experience that you can get 8 (I think) passport photos for about $16 at the UI photo thingy. It takes a week though for them to print or something. But seriously, for Europe, you need like twenty as a starting basis and it's more expensive over there. And don't mention it was me who told you. I still might have an outstanding bill I have no intention of paying as I never received the goods from them. And mmmm, king cake! Especially your yummy recipe! Bise, kd.
