I am halfway through an eight day work week, by which I mean I am working eight days in a row. It's about as exciting as it sounds. But on Friday morning, Stephanie and I are going up to Minneapolis to see our friend Haley, go shopping (theoretically for dresses) and just generally get out of Iowa. I've left this area twice in the four months since I've come home which, incidentally, this is the longest I've been in one place in the last year and a half. So this eight days of working will be worth it in that regard.
The downside is, that it leaves me with little material or energy to blog about. Besides the usual retail madness, there isn't much left to talk about with this job.
I did learn something this morning: if you google "salmon cannery", I am on the first page of results. How about that!
