the people who sell stuff on ebay, like brand-new, name brand shoes and the like, where do they get the stuff to make stores and sell it for so cheap? i know not all of it is fake, although i'm sure some of it is. do they just get the stuff that doesn't sell? or is it stolen? i should really a) stay away from ebay before i buy something else i want but really don't need*, and b) GO TO BED.
also, i have discovered my baking match: sugar cookies. i tried, again, to make them today and beth had to finish them up because i am apparantly incapable of producing a dough that is going to roll out.
*i bought my golas last week, finally, but they are way to big, so i have to send them back and hope that a six isn't too small since apparantly golas don't come in half sizes. argh! i really like them, too so i'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Troy and I are trying to start this up on the side (selling stuff on ebay) and there are sites like liquidation.com that have lots of namebrand merchandise for a low per unit cost. unfortunately though, you have to buy like 50 shirts/pairs of shoes/flutes.....don't laugh we looked at the musical instrument market :)
ReplyDeleteooh! so that's how it works! i was really confused by that. and that explains too why there are like ten of the same thing on some sites. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't feel too badly about the sugar cookies...if it makes you feel any better, a few weeks ago I managed to screw up chocolate chip cookies!
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteIt's Dave over at Mongolian Taxi - I was trawling through the stats and noticed a link from here, so thought I'd pop over and say thank you and hello - and you've even got my blogrolled. I'm honoured.
Now, without wanting to appear rude, would you mind coaxing your friends into donating to a good cause? I might even make you top of my very own blogroll, if and when I put one up. (That was my poor attempt at bribery.)
Cheers anyway, always nice to see support for the cause.
Dave
My mom sells new books on ebay for a discounted price. It's a way to supplement business at her actual store. But it's not like she drastically discounts them, so I don't know who those other crazies are.
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm going to go ahead and admit I don't know what a "blogroll" is. Is it the Typepad List?
ReplyDeleteblogroll is basically all the blogs you have linked on your blog. i would try to figure out how "blogroll" came from that since it's probably pretty easy but i have a massive headache and about it drown it out with 2/3 of a bottle of $4 wine. should be a fun time. ;)
