try as i might

i just do not find chuck palahniuk to be an author that i am remotely interested in.  i'm not sure why i checked out another one of his books, then.

also, stephanie's spock is really creeping me out--she leaves him in the living room so then i see him out of the corner of my eye and i think someone is in the room with me.

and, last night i finally talked to erika on the phone for the first time since we saw each other in february.  i know, i'm bad at calling people.  it made my day though.

finally, it turns out that fugitive kate from lost grew up in iowa.  and her friend tom or whatever his name was said "no self-respecting iowa boy goes anywhere without beer."  well, at least they didn't come right out and call iowans hicks, although they were standing amongst some cows when he said it.

  1. That was one of my favorite parts of the episode when he said that. It gave me fond memories of Cornell. No self-respecting Cornellian goes anywhere without beer. Or Mad Dog as the case may be.
My other favorite part was when Charlie was playing guitar and Claire was cutting his hair. And can I just say that I love, LOVE that he calls her baby Turnip Head.
PS They need to take Ian Somerhalder's name off of the opening credits because it sparks my hope that his death is some sort of twisted plot conspriacy.
